Description
Thymosin Alpha 1 is an immunoregulator amino acid chain that promotes T cell maturation and differentiation.
In 1972, it was isolated from the thymus gland tissue and has since been studied for its application in the management of cystic fibrosis, infection, respiratory disorders, chronic hepatitis, and cancer.
Thymosin alpha 1 has also been postulated to enhance vaccine response. Studies concerning the response of severely-ill coronavirus disease 2019 patients indicate that thymosin alpha 1 can help improve outcomes by repairing the damage caused by lymphocytic immunity overactivation.
