3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies — including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Tag Manager — to run the Site, remember your cart and preferences, and understand how visitors use swisschems.is.

- Legal and compliance — where required to comply with law, respond to lawful government requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of SwissChems and our customers
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under standard confidentiality protections
5. Age Requirement & Eligibility
Consistent with our Terms & Conditions, you must be at least 21 years of age to create an account or place an order on swisschems.is. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we’ve collected information from someone under our minimum age, we will delete it.
6. International Orders & Data Transfers
SwissChems ships internationally. If you order from outside our country of operation, your order and shipping information may be transferred to, and processed in, other countries — including for customs clearance — consistent with the International Orders and Customs terms in our Terms & Conditions. As noted there, customs clearance and compliance with your local import regulations are the buyer’s responsibility; we share only the information necessary for carriers and customs authorities to process your shipment.
7. Data Retention
We retain order, payment-confirmation, and support records for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in this policy and to meet our own recordkeeping, tax, and quality-guarantee obligations — including the 30-day quality claim window and 7-business-day return window referenced in our Quality Assurance and Refund & Return policies. Account information is retained while your account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward, unless you request earlier deletion under Section 8.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of marketing or certain data sharing (e.g., under GDPR for EEA/UK residents, or CCPA/CPRA for California residents).

- Contact support. — Email support@swisschems.is with your request and the email/order number tied to your account.
- Identity check. — We may ask you to verify your identity before processing access or deletion requests.
- We review. — We confirm what data we hold and whether any must be retained for legal, tax, or quality-guarantee reasons.
- Resolution. — We action your request and confirm by email, typically within a reasonable timeframe under applicable law.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit and restricted internal access to customer data — consistent with the “Protected by SSL Encryption & Trusted Payment Providers” commitment shown at checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
