1. Quality Guarantee (What We Stand Behind)

Subject to the conditions in this policy, Swiss Chems guarantees that each product conforms to its stated identity and minimum purity specification (e.g., ≥99% where indicated) at the time it leaves our facility.

Every batch is tested against internal specifications using validated analytical methods (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR or equivalent), and a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available on request. Products are packaged and labeled for research use only, with recommended storage and shelf-life information on the product page.

This guarantee applies to sealed, unopened product stored and handled according to the labeled conditions. Any quality claim — including claims supported by third-party testing — must be initiated within 30 calendar days of delivery, based on carrier tracking records. Claims raised after 30 days may be considered at our discretion but fall outside the standard guarantee window.

2. Third-Party Testing Requirements

We recognize that some research customers wish to perform their own independent analytical testing. To be considered under our Quality Guarantee, third-party results must meet all of the requirements set out in this policy.

Eligible products and lots:

  • The product must be within its published shelf life at the time of testing.
  • The lot number on the sample must match the lot number on the original Swiss Chems product label and invoice.
3. Laboratory Qualifications

Testing must be performed by a qualified analytical laboratory capable of HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, or equivalent validated methods suitable for assessing purity and identity. The lab report must clearly state:

  • Laboratory name and contact information.
  • Method used (e.g., HPLC with UV detection at the relevant wavelength, column type and gradient, or LC-MS).
  • Date of sample receipt and date of analysis.
  • Resulting purity value with chromatogram or spectrum where applicable.
4. Sample Handling & Documentation

To ensure results reflect the product as it left our facility:

  • The tested material must originate directly from the Swiss Chems product container.
  • The sample must be labeled with product name, lot number, and transfer date when prepared for shipment to the lab.
  • Customers are encouraged to document storage conditions from removal until analysis. Where storage cannot be documented or appears inconsistent with the product’s known stability, we may consider this when evaluating the claim.

Holding time: the lab must analyze the sample within 14 days of receipt unless documented stability data supports a longer time. For light- or temperature-sensitive compounds (e.g., certain dyes and peptides) we may set shorter holding times and require protection from light and controlled temperature. Results analyzed beyond the applicable holding time without supporting data may be treated as invalid for a quality claim.

5. Accepted Analytical Methods

The method must be reasonably capable of resolving the main analyte from known impurities and degradation products — simple colorimetric or visual assessments are not sufficient.

The lab must report chromatograms or spectra where possible; claims backed only by a single number with no supporting data may be rejected. Accepted methods include HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, or equivalent validated techniques.

6. Storage, Shelf Life & Stability

Products are supplied for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary use. Each product page lists recommended storage (e.g., “Store sealed at 20–25 °C, protect from light”) and shelf-life information.

Our shelf-life guarantee assumes the product remains sealed in its original container until use, is stored per the published conditions, and is not subjected to extreme conditions (prolonged heat, direct sunlight, or repeated freeze–thaw). If opened, transferred, or stored outside recommended conditions, stability may be compromised and any resulting degradation may fall outside the guarantee.

7. How to Submit a Third-Party Testing Claim

Contact Swiss Chems Support within 30 days of delivery with your order number, product name, lot number, and a brief description of the issue. Provide a complete copy of the lab report including chromatograms/spectra, showing:

  • Product name and lot number.
  • Lab name and contact details.
  • Sample receipt and analysis dates.
  • Storage / handling notes if included.
  • Method description and final purity results.

We may request return of the remaining product as a condition of completing the review, and confirmation that it was stored per label conditions. We typically respond with a preliminary assessment within 7–10 business days.

8. Claim Review & Resolution Policy

If, after reviewing our internal data and compliant third-party results, we conclude a batch is out of specification, we will at our discretion provide either a replacement from a different lot, or an account credit/refund limited to the purchase price, plus reimbursement of up to $100 toward third-party testing fees on submission of a valid lab invoice.

Our obligation is limited to replacement, credit, or refund of the product price and testing fees up to $100; we do not accept liability for consequential, incidental, or downstream research costs.

We may decline to base a decision on third-party results where the claim is outside the 30-day window, the product is past shelf life, the sample was analyzed outside the holding time without stability data, storage appears inconsistent with the stability profile, the method is inadequate, or chain of custody cannot be established. This policy may be updated at any time; the version in effect when a claim is initiated generally governs, and where it conflicts with our Terms & Conditions, the Terms control except where this policy grants additional quality-claim rights.

If a Batch is Confirmed Out of Specification

If our internal review confirms the product was out of specification when it left our facility, you may be eligible for:

  • Replacement from another lot
  • Account credit or refund
  • Up to $100 reimbursement for valid
    third-party testing (eligibility applies)

Claims May Be Rejected If

  • Raised outside the 30-day window
  • Product is outside its shelf life
  • Improper or undocumented storage
  • Missing chromatograms/spectra or method details
  • Invalid or non-qualified testing methods
  • Broken chain of custody or unlabeled samples

Storage Recommendations

Follow these guidelines to maintain product integrity.

Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F)Unless otherwise specified
Protect From LightKeep away from direct sunlight and UV exposure
Keep SealedKeep containers tightly sealed when not in use
