Description
MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is an isoform of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), produced through alternative splicing. It plays a role in cellular signaling pathways and is involved in various molecular interactions related to protein synthesis and enzymatic regulation.
Unlike its PEGylated counterpart, MGF without PEG has a short half-life due to rapid enzymatic breakdown. It undergoes proteolytic degradation and receptor-mediated clearance, making it suitable for research applications requiring transient bioactivity.
