Description

  • IGF-1 binds to IGF type 1 receptors and stimulates tissue growth in nervous, lymphoid, reproductive, smooth muscle, endothelium, and bone tissues. IGF-1 DES is a modified, truncated variant derived from the naturally occurring insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) protein, resulting in a greater binding ability to IGF receptors. Due to a shorter peptide chain compared to the LR3 version, IGF-1 DES has better absorption rate.

Research has been prompted to investigate its enhanced bioavailability and potency compared to the standard IGF-1. Clinical studies also suggest various ways to utilize IGF-1 DES in neural degenerative diseases and preconditioned disorders such as autism.
